LA, a land where everyone observes everyone else a little more closely than say if you lived in Wyoming. When you go to a restaurant, you might discover your friends jockeying for the best table and for that seat with a view. In search of the seat with the perfect vantage point of those entering and exiting. The spot see and be seen. This is just in case the table conversation isn’t deep space mind probing and the crackberry doesn’t vibrate frequently enough to deliver a new & vital piece of gossip via TMZ or Twitter. When you sit in the best seat in the house, this is the other form of human connection escapism, as to potentially spot someone famous, or at least peer at he who thinks of himself as famous. The right seat can reveal someone more interesting, more attractive and more than likely famous sauntering through the door at any moment, gracing you with a reprieve from a potentially dull conversation. I can’t help it I’m an empirical cynic.

We all do it, or have at least done it once, yours truly included, as it’s the nature in our beast.

Trick or cheat!
